MIRACLES FOR NORMAL PEOPLE
When I was about 25 my world fell apart. My dreams were shattered and I was broken and lost. In
the back bedroom of a trailer house in Sudan, Texas I cried out to Jesus Christ... desperate. He heard me and reached
out to me. Although I had been a 'believer' for many years before that, I realized I needed a deeper relationship.

I began to literally 'crave' more knowledge of Him so I began to read, research and study the New Testament
trying to find out what it offered 'normal people' like me. This intense study period lasted from 3 to 3 1/2
years. (and still continues). In that time something truly amazing happened to me. Through much prayer I began
to sense that Christ Himself was actually living in me, teaching me.
Now I had heard about Jesus coming to "live
in someone's heart," but I took that to be more 'metaphoric,' than actual. I was wrong.
this, I began to hear the Lord speaking various things to my heart and telling me how He'd empowered me to represent Him
to others. This was a real revelation for me and I thought "Man, this is what every Christian already knows!
They all believe in the power of healing, etc." I was wrong again.
When I began to share my newfound
faith I found that many people...influential people even, did not believe that healing was still a part of the Lord's
ministry. I was shocked to hear this. I began to wonder if I was going crazy for believing that He did.
This all changed for me the first time I began to pray for people and witnessed true, life-changing miracles. I've
seen so many in my life that I could probably write a book about them. But for the sake of keeping this brief I'll
just tell you about one.
I was invited to speak at a tiny Church in Seymore, Texas and was happy to do so.
There was an average attendance of about 40 people there each night, so I would take the time at the end of the service and
pray individually for anyone who asked for it.
One particular night there was a young woman of about 25 who came
up for prayer. She told me that she and her husband had tried unsuccessfully for several years to start a family but
that something was wrong. Her doctors had told her it was impossible and that they should look into adoption.
Her request? She wanted to have a baby.
As I began to pray for her, that "inner Voice" I was telling
you about said, "Tell her the answer to her prayer is Yes!" I admit, I was a little bit afraid to tell her
that because I didn't want to be labeled as a false prophet or something. Nevertheless, I had come to trust that
Voice completely so I told her. She was estatic.
I went on down the line praying for other people, when that
Voice spoke again. "Now go tell her that by Christmas she'll be shopping for baby clothes." Now
I was nervous!
Let me pause here to say that "faith is risky." You have to be willing to
take chances. So I did what the Lord told me. I told her.
By Christmas of that year she was pregnant
and shopping. (Still can't believe she didn't name that kid after me. Just kidding). The last
time I saw her she had three children (I think, it may have been more) and she asked if I could 'cancel' the prayer
I said all that to say this: I am about as 'normal' as a human being can be. I work hard
(probably too hard) not to portray myself as a 'normal preacher,' but rather as a 'normal man.' In fact,
most people would not know I was a preacher if I didn't tell them. My point is that Christ truly desires to live
in all His people...filling them with power to give life and healing to those around them. Normal people...people like...you.
I have found that miracles work like this...He's in us and tells us what to do...we do it in obedience and then
He works the miracle. Pretty simple. Again, I've seen hundreds of miracles just like this one. As the
Word says, "It's not I, but Christ in me...He does the work."
As I write this,
I sense that there are some of you who are needing a miracle in your life. I also sense that God wants me to pray
for you. If this "rings a bell" with you, please e-mail me at the addresses listed on the website and I will
pray for you. As the old Stuart Hamlin song says: "What He's done for others...He'll do for you."
My Heartfelt Love,
